Bubba Von Max
William Max Kidwell, (aka Bubba VonMax), grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, His love of art started at an early age with inspiration from Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and Robert Williams. It wasn't long before VonMax developed an interest for the abstract works of Wassily Kandinsky, and Pablo Picasso. Also fond of the surrealism of Salvador Dali, Max started to create his own works. After a visit to the MoMA in NYC, VonMax discovered the works of Mark Rothko. He was amazed at the emotional reactions of those looking at the colors used. It was from there that VonMax developed his own style of layering colors on canvas to create his own form of abstract expressionism. Bubba also dabbles in photography and enjoys building Cigar Box Guitars and other vintage stringed instruments. You can see more of Bubba's works at vonmaxart.com. VonMax considers himself to be a Neo-Dadait and he is also a supporter of the Stuckism Movement. He founded the The Phoenix Guerilla Stuckists Est. 2010. For more information on Stuckism, click here.

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
― Hunter S. Thompson
