Callie Seaton

Callie is one of the founding members of the Gallery 1001, having had her art on display now for almost 10 years. A talented artist, Callie has presented a variety of styles through the years and continues to impress all with her colorful and dynamic works of art. Recently, Callie has drawn inspiration from German abstract artist, Gerhard Richter. Callie, using a metal scraper to apply her paint brings out all of the vivid expressiveness through her use of colors. Callie mostly limits her use to primary colors; red, blue, and yellow. hoping they will bring out other colors and hues like green, purple, orange.” We think you will see just how successful at this she is. Callie admits to, “not having an exact plan,” as she starts a new piece. However, she works each piece until she reaches a point where she feels that it looks finished and as she says, “then I know when to stop.”
